Education

Satveer is a returning summer student who is now articling with Mackenzie Fujisawa.

Satveer attended law school at the University of Leeds where she graduated with honours. During law school, Satveer participated in moot court and negotiation competitions. She also contributed to pro bono work within the local community with organizations such as the Cerebra Pro Bono Research Project which supports children with neurological disorders and their families. Satveer also volunteered with the Welfare Appeals and Tribunal Clinic where she worked directly with clients who were appealing disability and social welfare benefits decisions made by the government.

Prior to entering law school, Satveer earned a Bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University with a major in Criminology and minor in Business Administration, alongside a Legal Studies Certificate. One of the most notable experiences from Satveer’s undergraduate career was completing a semester abroad in the Faculty of Law at the Humboldt University of Berlin. During this time, Satveer also collaborated with a professor in the Social Sciences Department  to later co-author an article titled: “What Do We Know About Power Sharing After 50 Years?”, which was published by the Cambridge University Press.

Outside of the office, Satveer enjoys spending time with her family and keeping active; often exploring trails with her energetic Labrador.
