IVY YANG

Ivy’s practice focuses on general litigation, with experience in both civil and commercial litigation. Ivy has experience in a wide range of dispute-resolution matters, including commercial leasing, estate litigation, contract disputes, and shareholder disputes.  In addition to litigation, Ivy maintains a solicitor practice in estate planning and also assists early-stage businesses on a wide range of legal matters.

Ivy received her JD from the University of Calgary in 2020, and her BA from the University of Western Ontario in 2016.  After completing law school and her articles, Ivy worked at a civil litigation law firm in Calgary before moving to Vancouver and joining MacKenzie Fujisawa LLP.

Ivy prides herself in providing comprehensive legal advice. She is pragmatic, and tailors her approach based on her client’s needs. Ivy always strives to provide legal advice that is clear, practical, with a view to conflict resolution.

Throughout her academics and professional life, Ivy has contributed to her local animal welfare organizations, including having served as the Co-President of Animal Justice Association at the University of Calgary.  Currently, Ivy is a volunteer lawyer for the National Centre for Prosecution of Animal Cruelty (NCPAC), where she prepares case briefs for a database used by crown lawyers to prosecute animal cruelty cases throughout Canada.

In her spare time, Ivy enjoys painting and playing squash.
