Aaron practices Indigenous, environmental, and regulatory law. He has experience in First Nation governance, civil litigation, and Aboriginal law. Aaron has assisted First Nations and Indigenous governing bodies with developing and implementing child and family welfare services. He has advocated for Indigenous clients in exercising their inherent jurisdiction over the care of their own children and families in accordance with their traditional laws and values.
Aaron earned his JD from the University of Alberta in 2022 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in June 2023. He also holds a Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Animal Biology from the University of Alberta. Before pursuing law, Aaron conducted research on polar bears in the Western Hudson Bay and coyote-parasite interactions in Edmonton. During his legal studies, he was deeply involved with the student body, holding executive positions in several student groups and faculty committees.
In his spare time, Aaron volunteers and coaches curling at the Vancouver Curling Club, where he also competes in the Pacific Rim Curling League. When he is not on the ice, you might find him skiing at Whistler on weekends or testing new recipes with friends.
