Siew Yee is a paralegal in the Corporate Services Department at MacKenzie Fujisawa. She assists lawyers with a wide range of corporate transactions and governance matters involving incorporations, amalgamations, share transactions, dissolutions, restructuring, continuations, extra provincial registrations, business name registrations and limited partnership matters.
Prior to joining MacKenzie Fujisawa, Siew Yee worked with various small and large national law firms in Vancouver and publicly listed real estate companies in Malaysia, specializing in corporate financing and compliance.
Siew Yee is a graduate of the paralegal certificate program at Vancouver Community College. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and the BC Paralegal Association.
Wendy has 28 years of legal experience. She obtained her paralegal diploma from Vancouver Community College.
Wendy has developed a broad knowledge in complex litigation matters, with her main area of expertise being in personal injury. She has extensive experience on both plaintiff and defence files, working on matters involving mild traumatic brain injuries, chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder, fibromyalgia, severe lacerations, internal injuries, permanent disabilities and fraud claims. Wendy provides a supportive role in all aspects of file management including gathering and summarizing evidence, analyzing issues, drafting various legal documents and opinions and performing legal research.
Wendy is a member of the BC Paralegal Association and has had an article on in-trust claims published in the Canadian Paralegal Association’s newsletter. She also was a presenter and spoke on the decision to fast track at the Canadian Defence Lawyers seminar for paralegals in June 2014.
Laurelyn Pereyras attended Sprott Shaw Community College for her legal secretary accelerated program and Vancouver Community College for her paralegal studies.
She started as a legal administrative assistant in 2002 and worked in the areas of corporate and commercial and wills and estates. In 2006 she transitioned to litigation support and she assists lawyers in all aspects of case management, including summarizing discovery evidence, performing legal research and analysis, drafting research memoranda, interviewing witnesses and preparing bills of cost. She specializes in the management and control of document production in large and complex civil litigation files involving such matters as insurance subrogation, property damage and business interruption claims. In this regard she has a comprehensive knowledge of Summation database software. She is a member of the BC Paralegal Association.
Laurelyn has a bachelor of science in Management.
Chris Reinhardt began at MacKenzie Fujisawa LLP in 1991 as a conveyancer and has now over 25 years of experience in real estate and lending. Her work at the firm has focused primarily on new housing development sales, commercial lending and residential real estate transactions, and she also has experience in land assemblies and subdivisions.
Christine Xie graduated from the Oliver Schreiner School of Law at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa.
She completed her law clerkship in South Africa and is currently completing her Canadian challenge exams through the National Committee on Accreditation. She intends to apply for admission to the BC bar.
Christine has worked as a litigation paralegal since 2009 and specializes in the management and control of document production in large civil litigation files. She is a member of the BC Paralegal Association.
